Officials of Defense Ministry say that the ANA Recruitment Process has improved in comparison to the past time.
He says, "Totally, we have six Military Training Centers including one Military Training Command of Kabul which has the capacity to train four or five platoons of soldiers. Also we have Regional Military Training Centers in Khost, Mazaar-e-Sharif, Kandahar, Herat and one in Darulaman of Kabul province. Recently, the Turkish Forces promised to train six hundred soldiers of ANA. Before, we could train six hundred soldiers at a time but now this number has been increased to fourteen hundred in each regional military center."
BG. Ahmadzai also said after recruitment the soldiers of ANA are trained for two months but the youths who are trained professionally and technically then they are trained for two more months. He added that they plan to create a Military Training Center that will have capacity to train fourteen hundred soldiers at a time in Helmand Province by inauguration of 215 Maiwand Corps there. Gen. Ahmadzai also added that the ANA soldiers are trained and equipped with NATO standard modern weapons.
He speaks about the trainings, "The ANA soldiers who went to foreign countries in the last few years have been trained and returned back to their country and they take part in training the soldiers. All of our soldiers are trained with NATO system trainings and also they have been equipped with NATO standard new weapons to defend their country, people, Islamic modesty and national honor. All of the NATO member countries' military officers take part in training of our soldiers."
According to officials of MoD, the number of ANA soldiers will be remarkably increased till Aqrab month of 1389 solar year. Meanwhile, the ANA New 215 Maiwand Corps will be inaugurated in Helmand province very soon. The International Community will send more military instructors aimed at escalation of the ANA number and make them able to improve security and defend their country by themselves.
