The Afghan President, Hamid Karzai, yesterday praised the result of his visit to Turkey, Germany, and his participation in the London Conference successful.
He said that Germany emphasized on the escalation of its forces. "Fortunately, Germany is increasing the contributions to Afghanistan for the current and following years."
The President clarified that Afghan Government presented its view and program in London Conference on six substantial issues that included peace, security, sound governance, governmental institutions improvement, countering corruption, and Afghanistan's economical development. "It was about Afghanistan's economy, reconstruction, economical improvement, sixthly the regional issues and Afghanistan's view on the region and regional needs."
The Afghan President - while acknowledging the national reconciliation a step toward ensuring the peace - described the fight against the enemies of Afghanistan a vital act. "The Policy of Afghan Government is to counter and annihilate Al-Qaeda and terrorist groups who never want peace and security not only in Afghanistan but also in all over the world especially harming the Islam world."
The Afghan President also announced from holding the Peace Jirga in the near future and said that the second international conference – after London Conference- is due to be held in Kabul in the outset of summer to review the results of the peace efforts.
