The locals and Agriculture Department in Sorobi District of Kabul have recently started the sapling plantation program. The Agriculture Head of Sorobi District, Mr. Hayatullah, said they have separate sapling plantation programs with the help of French donor organizations and Afghan Agriculture Ministry. He added: "The French Hamkar Organization has aided 8000 pomegranates saplings and 8000 Amiri apricot saplings for the time being whilst Afron French organization had donated 30000 fruitful saplings in the past.

Half of the 30000 saplings were planted in Uzbin valley and 15000 of them were planted in the district."

Mr. Hayatullah further added that French donor organizations have carried out plenty of contributions to different agricultural sectors like Agriculture Department building, storages for agricultural seeds, equipments and vehicles, 23 almond gardens, and chemical fertilizer.

He reminded that some of the abovementioned contributions have already been carried out but some are still on the go. He said: "French Hamkar organization has a branch in our department. The organization provides apiculture trainings to 22 groups manned with 20 individuals each. 20 groups have already been provided with bee."

Sorobi District is located 69km east of Kabul and Kabul River passes through this district. The weather is tropical and suitable for agriculture in this district. Officials of Sorobi Agriculture Department announced that they plan several agricultural and livestock projects this year that will change the live of dozens of families as well as greening the environment after they are completed.
The international community has been trying to implement the projects that improve the life of Afghan people and build the country.
