Nearly 1500 teachers in Baghlan pass salary grading evaluation

In the second phase, 1479 schools teachers throughout Baghlan province underwent salaries grading exam.

Momen Hamkar, the Education Chief of Baghlan said the baccalaureate, community college and bachelor teachers as well as the religious school teachers participated.
"We have registered 1044 baccalaureate female teachers, we also have community college and bachelor teachers who missed the previous exam as well as today religious schools teachers are going to have exam.
Community college teachers who have served for 5 years will be paid 8.000 Afghanis and bachelor teachers will get  around 12.000 Afghanis."

 

Mahboba, Senior Teacher of Madan Girls School in Pol-e-Khumri and high school graduated says that with the implementation of this process she will get more salary and her financial problems get solved. "4700 Afghanis is not enough for a teacher at present time because life is expensive, people are poor and it is not enough for big families, so teachers should be supported."

Abdul Hadi Rafiy, Deputy Governor of Baghlan during this exam said teachers make the spinal of the community and the discoveries have been done in the world are because of hard efforts of teachers. "Education is one of the proud of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan that today we have over 3 million students. The salaries grading exam can solve the economy problem of the teachers."

The exam papers were locked in the boxes by Ministry of Education and were distributed to the teachers at the existence of Baghan officials. The first round of salaries reform exam was attended by 2500 community college and bachelor teachers and 80% of them passed it.
