In Joint Operations, 37 Armed Taliban Killed


ANP-menIn past 24 hours, Afghan National Police conducted several anti-terrorism joint operations with Afghan National Army and NDS to clean some of the areas from terrorists and enemies of peace and stability of Afghanistan.

The operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Zabul, Logar, Khost, Paktiya, Herat, Helmand and Nimroz provinces, as a result 37 armed Taliban members were killed, eight wounded and six others were arrested by Afghan National Security Forces.
In the meantime, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated light and heavy rounds ammunition.
Also, during these operations, two Afghan National Police members were martyred and one was wounded.
During the same 24 hour period, Afghan National Police discovered and defused 77 different types of IEDs placed by enemies of Afghanistan for destructive activities in Takhar, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Helmand and Nimroz provinces.
