Eighteen Taliban Fighters Killed During Mopping-Up Operation


Nearly 18 armed Taliban were killed during a military operation under the code name ‘Nawed-17’ in northern Sar-e-Pul province yesterday.

Mohammad Taher Wahdat governor of Sar-e-Pul said BNA correspondent, the operation was launched since four days to annihilates Taliban militants and protect the lives and properties of local people in insecure regions of Sar-e-Pul province, which several areas of the province had been cleared from being of the rebels and the operation ongoing as well.
Meanwhile security officials in Sar-e-Pul reported from killing and wounding of 30 Taliban rebels in four days ago in Baghawi and Qashqari regions of the province.
