Joint Mopping-Up Operations Leaves Over 60 Insurgents Dead


About 69 armed oppositions including Mullah Habibullah chief of military commission of the terrorist group were killed and 36 others were wounded following joint clearing operations led by Afghan security forces within the last 24 hours across the country.

 Ministry of National Defense press office stated BNA, the joint mopping-up operations were launched to suppress Taliban militants and ensure peace and stability in insecure areas of Nangarhar, Kunar, Ghazni, Paktika, Kandahar, Urozgna, Badghis, Ghor, Farah, Herat, Faryab, Sar-e-Pul, Baghlan, Kunduz and Helmand provinces.
 Mullah Muheeb and Mullah Sangeen the two notorious commanders of the terrorist group are among the dead of the operations as well, the source added.
 Six cars type of Saracha belonging the Taliban rebels were destroyed at the end of the operations.
