In Several Joint Clearance Operations, 69 Armed Taliban Killed

four-anp-with-riflesIn past 24 hours, Afghan National Police conducted several anti-terrorism joint operations with Afghan National Army and NDS to clean some of the areas from terrorists and enemies of peace and stability of Afghanistan.


The operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Kunar, Nooristan, Herat, Uruzgan, Kandahar, Kunduz, Faryab and Helmand provinces, as a result 69 armed Taliban members were killed, 30 wounded and one was arrested by Afghan National Security Forces.
Several local Taliban commanders are among the dead and Taliban suffered the heaviest casualty in Faryab and Helmand provinces.
Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered, confiscated and defused light and heavy rounds ammunition.
During the same 24 hour period, Afghan National Police discovered and defused 10 different types of IEDs placed by enemies of Afghanistan for destructive activities in Ghor, Herat, Zabul and Faryab provinces.
