New bypass to ease traffic

A-new-bypass-for-TrafficA 15-kilometre long and 22-metre wide bypass has recently been inaugurated in Kabul. Connecting Pul-e Charkhi with Kotal-e Khair Khana in the north of Kabul, the road will help ease the flow of heavy vehicular traffic through Kabul City.

The road is named after Afghan Persian poet, Abulmahani Mirza Abdul Qadir Bedil.
The mayor of Kabul, Mohammad Yunus Nawandish, thanked Japan for providing funds and expertise for the road construction.
