President Ashraf Ghani has left Kabul on Tuesday for Nepal to attend the 18th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Summit, being held in Kathmandu on November 26-27, 2014.
A statement from the Presidential Palace said the president left for Nepal to attend the SAARC summit. It said that the president during his three day’s Nepal visit would address the summit.
It said the president would hold wide-ranging meetings with the host country’s president, prime ministers and other leaders of SAARC countries.
Zarar Ahmad Usmani, acting foreign minister and Nazifullah Salarzai, the presidential spokesman were accompanied the president.
Along with Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan would attend the summit.
