President, CEO condemn Peshawar attack

President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah on Tuesday strongly condemned a Taliban attack on a Peshawar-based school.

More than 137 people, most of them students, were killed when Taliban stormed an army-run school in northwestern Pakistan on Tuesday morning.“Killing innocent children is anti-Islamic and inhumane. I condemn it in the strongest possible terms,” President Ghani said in a statement from his office.Abdullah also said the Afghan people mourned the deaths. “Using terrorism as an instrument is not beneficial to anybody and if we don’t fight it properly, this danger would engulf not only Pakistan and Afghanistan but the entire region.”He insisted on honest efforts from both countries to fight against terrorism and rid their peoples of the scourge.
