As the fighting season of the Taliban is coming to an end, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) assured on Tuesday that the security situation of the country will be improved within a month.
Coherent and effective plans have been drafted to maintain law-and-order, especially in restive areas, the ministry added.
"The security situation will change in next two to three weeks," MoD spokesman Dawlat Waziri said. "Also, we have made comprehensive plans for next year's spring [fighting] season and fresh troops will be deployed to the insecure areas," he added.
According to MoD, currently 14 anti-insurgent operations are being conducted in 11 provinces.
