President Ghani: Special Forces are Pride of Afghanistan

ghani-visit-special-forcesMohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, visited this morning several parts of the Special Forces Units.

Praying for the souls of the martyrs of the National Security and Defense forces who have lost their lives while protecting and defending the people, the President said that he has directed the relevant authorities to form a special group out of the three defense and security agencies of the country in order to reach out to the families of the martyrs and the wounded, and report back to the President’s Office.

Thanking the zero one unit of the Special Forces for conducting successful operations, the President said that our people rest at nights with peace of mind thanks to alertness of you and other security and defense forces of the country.

The President underscored that in the 262 operations that have been conducted by the Special Forces, only one child has been injured and they have not had any other casualties, which is a source of hope and great success for us.

Calling Special Forces the pride of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said that I am grateful that 16 of our sisters are part of this unit and faithfully defend their people.

Addressing the female personnel who are serving the country in the ranks of the Special Forces, the President said: thank your families on my behalf as commander in chief of the armed forces for making you part the defense of Afghanistan

President Ghani also said in his speech that you have a high capacity and my full support as commander in chief of the armed forces in every duty that you perform to implement the law.
