President Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday night visited victims of the deadly Kabul bomb blast earlier in the day and promised to avenge "every drop of Afghan blood" spilled.
Ghani visited the victims at the Sardar Mohammad Daoud Khan hospital and said Tuesday's attack was un-Islamic and inhumane."Afghanistan remembers the days you [Taliban] had whips in your hands, killing people. We will avenge every drop of Afghan blood," Ghani said.By Wednesday afternoon Kabul hospitals were quieter after having treated hundreds of patients injured in the explosion. The vast majority of wounded sustained minor injuries from flying glass.Ministry of Interior officials however revised the death toll on Wednesday morning to 64 and put the wounded at over 340.The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
