Deputy Foreign Minister Meets with French Ambassador to Kabul


Kabul- Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met with the ambassador of the Republic of France to Kabul Mr.  François Resher this morning.

At the meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister thanked France for its continuous support, assistance and cooperation with Afghanistan especially in reconstruction, education, health and agriculture spheres in the last fifteen years, as well as this country’s new support and cooperation for Afghanistan in Warsaw Conference, and added: “Afghan government expects friendly France to actively and effectively participate in Brussels’ International Conference.”
The two sides also discussed the follow up and re-study of the Friendship Agreement between Afghanistan and France singed in 2012, and the issue of Afghan refugees in France.
Subsequently, ambassador of the Republic of France to Kabul presented information about his country’s future programs to assist Afghanistan in economic, development, trade, agriculture and education areas and insisted that France will continue its full financial and political cooperation and support with Afghanistan.
