Tribes reconcile in Herat and prove that peace is better than war

Local officials in Herat encourage unity among the tribes in this province.

Herat Gov and people

Recently, government agencies in Herat reconciled two hostile tribes in the Ghorian district of the province. The governor of Herat explained that the affiliates of these tribes had been fighting for several months and left a lot of damage. They were successfully reconciled as a result of efforts of the Peace Council and the tribal elites.

Now that these people have reconciled, they are pleased and they celebrate the unity and solidarity of the people. One member of the previously fighting tribes, Olama, said peace is better than war. “Pleasure in peace, not being at war.”
