Police detained three persons and recovered a fuel tanker, which had been stolen by insurgents, from their possession in northern Kunduz province, an official said on Sunday.
The tanker was carrying 21 tonnes of fuel to neighbouring Takhar province from a filling station Ariana in Kunduz City a day earlier when it was snatched by gunmen in Chahar Toot area of Khanabad district, police spokesman, Syed Sarwar Hussaini, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
