The Kraman road located in Dara district of Panjshir province will be repaired and graveled by the National Rural Access Program (NRAP) of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development.
The construction work of this project was officially initiated by H.E. Mohammad Tariq Ismati, MRRD’s Acting Minister and Deputy Minister for Programmes on 4th December 2014.
The mentioned road (4,65 kilometers in length) will be completed at a budget of AFN 27 million. Upon the completion of this project a positive impact to the residents of ten villages in the sectors of health, education and transportation will be appeared.
The project will be implemented by the financial support of World Bank Group; during the implementation period or the project about 1826 local residents will have access to short-term job opportunities.
To date, the National Rural Access Program (NRAP) has been able to implement 84-km road and 282-m bridge projects in various districts of Panjshir province. This is in a time that more than 38-km road and 117-m bridge projects are underway.
Likewise, since its inception the National Rural Access Program has implemented and handed-over 4303-km road and 2576-m bridge projects across 34 provinces of Afghanistan.
