Air and Ground Raids on Taliban Strongholds in Faryab


Ten armed Taliban were killed in a series of air raids conducted by security forces in Faryab province.

The insurgents were targeted during 24 last hours in Qaisar, Almar and suburb of Maimana city.
Ahmad Jaweed Salim spokesman of commando forces said, in the air raids, ten armed Taliban lost their lives.
He added the Taliban were targeted while terrorist activities and killed.
It is said that no any harm and casualties sustained to residents in the raids.
According to another reports, a blast was prevented in Almar district.
Security officials of the province said, a mine was planted by Taliban along the road of Almar district, was discovered and defused by security forces and prevented from fatal event.
