ANA rescues 35 civilians from Taliban-run prison in Nad Ali

ana-commandoes-zblNearly three dozen civilians have been rescued from a Talibaninfo-icon prison during an operation by special forces in southern Helmand province, Ministry of Defence said on Saturday.

"Five womeninfo-icon, as many men and 25 children were among those rescued from the Taliban-run prison in the Nad Ali district of the province last night," the ministry said in a statement.

Special Operations Forces of the Afghan National Army (ANA) also detained seven armed militants as a result of the raid, which came days after the security personnel withdrew from Musa Qala district.
