Security forces in Helmand will soon launch a large-scale military operation in Nawzad and Musa Qala districts to clear the areas of insurgents, said officials on Saturday.
"The army troops are preparing to launch a big military operation against insurgents in Musa Qala and Nawzad districts [in Helmand]. The operation will kick off in the near future," said Colonel Tajuddin, an army commander in Helmand.
Meanwhile, a soldier, Rohullah, said: "We waited the whole night to fight but we spent that night without war. Other nights, we are usually busy in conflict with insurgents."
Helmand police chief Aqa Noor Kentoz meanwhile said their priority is to take control of Lashkargah city's PD4.
