Group involved in target killings busted

anp-silhuetteThe National Directorate of Security (NDS) detained a 15-member group allegedly involved in target killings and bomb blasts in southern Kandahar province on Tuesday, officials said.

 Headed by Maulvi Abdul Rashid Muneeb, the group conducted disruptive activities in Kandahar City, officials said. The detainees were produced before media representatives along with the weapons recovered from them.A source in the NDS told Pajhwok Afghan News the detained men had perpetrated several targeted killings and roadside bombings.

The captured individuals include Mullah Dad Mohammad, Abdul Rahman alias Malham, Hazrat Gul alias Ehsanullah, Izzatullah, Attaullah, Ehsanullah, Jalaluddin, Sibghatullah alias Qudratullah and Asmatullah alias Shah Wali who confessed to committing crimes
