At a cost of AFN 56,430,000 funded by the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) including 10% community contribution 29 infrastructure projects were recently completed and handed-over in Enjil, Guzara and Zindajan districts of Herat province.
These development projects include the construction of community centers, water supply networks, culverts, schools, retaining walls, water reservoirs along with deep wells and irrigation canal. The completion of the projects has provided approximately 7549 families with basic human needs in the region.
Attended the inaugural ceremony for the water supply network project in Karizak village, Minister Durrani shed light on the new vision of his Ministry and development objectives of the Government.
Addressing those at the inaugural ceremony, Minister Durrani stated that his Ministry takes into consideration the principles of balanced development while implementing development projects. He also said that the projects anticipated by the MRRD in the areas of irrigation and agriculture will further address community problems in the future.
Also He asked the people to enhance their cooperation with the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Directorate in Herat to support rural development across the province.
