Egypt’s Al-Azhar centre of Islamic learning has condemned deadly twin blasts near the Afghan defense ministry in Kabul, describing them as “against the tolerant teachings of Islam”. The rush-hour explosions by the Taliban on Monday killed 41 people and wounded 110.

The international gathering of Balkhi to be held from Aug 22-24 in Afghanistan as per the suggestion and consistent efforts of Afghanistan cultural attaché in Tehran and the cooperation of ECO with the participation of acknowledged scholars and cultural professionals of Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, India, Tajikistan, Pakistan and some other countries.

Mother's Day was celebrated at a gathering in Kabul on Monday, where the Chief Executive of Afghanistan, Abdullah Abdullah, said women are the real champions of this country.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoF) of Afghanistan on Wednesday strongly criticized the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Turkey for their attempt to enlist Masnavi Ma'navi (collection of poems) of prominent Persian poet Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī in UNESCO as a common heritage of Iran and Turkey.

27 May 2016: The Ministry of Finance is proud to be the first donor to the UNESCO Multi Partner Fund Multi-Partner Trust Fund to develop Culture and Creative Industries in Afghanistan. The Fund was inaugurated today by President Ghani and UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova.
